But we are not Mexican. We are not a Tequila or Mezcal. We are African and we craft African Agave Spirit.
We dare to differ and are proudly creating a new African tradition. Crafting a uniquely African, agave culture and community on the continent and beyond, to share with the world.
AFRICA, AGAVE’S SECOND HOME
We harvest our agave from the Karoo and Eastern Cape province, South Africa. The region’s arid climate and nutrient rich alluvial soils create the perfect conditions for African Agave to grow.
The majority of Agave in Africa is naturalised in and grows wild across the continent, except for, Blue Webber agave, which is non-native and is being planted by Spearhead Spirits in their agave nursery in KwaZulu Natal.
